This tub of goodness is made from plants grown in my very own garden, infused in oil and set up to make an amazing skin healing balm.
Calendula is a cell proliferant. This means that it increases the speed at which cells heal. This can also cause problems if there is debris or infection in a wound and Calendula is used by itself. Therefore, I blended it with Ribwort Plantain.
By blending Calendula with Plantain, this creates a more moderate pace for the healing, as well as increasing the other positive benefits, such as the anti-inflammatory and soothing qualities that comes from Plantain.
Now with added extra goodness - Pine resin!
Pine resin’s antimicrobial properties recommend it as an anti-infective, as its terpene compounds are both antibacterial and antifungal. This makes it especially valuable as a topical application to help stave off infection in scrapes and wounds.
All these properties combined make for a powerhouse of healing for your skin. If you have children then don't leave home without it!
This 110ml balm is good for all sorts of skin issues, including scratches, minor cuts, bites, and inflammation. It can also be used on sunburn for those days you have forgotten your Sunbliss!
Ingredients: Calendula (Calendula officinalis) infused oil, Plantain (Plantago lanceolata) infused oil, Coconut oil, Beeswax, Pine Resin, Lavender & Grapefruit Essential Oil
Use for topical application only. As with any skin care product, even a natural one, please do a skin test on the outside of your elbow if you are unsure of any potential reactions. Do not use if you have any known allergic reactions to any of the ingredients listed.
We use it on our kids for their Scrapes and cuts. I use it to keep my exczma at bay daily. A large jar goes a long way but I got two of them. One for the kids and one for me.
